Set in a small town in Estonia, A Journey of the Leaves follows the filmmaker as they encounter a bookstore owner, a living statue of a poet, and another queer person carrying similar emotional wounds. These encounters become a pathway to confronting the past and discovering the healing power of queer solidarity and chosen family. Shot on Super 8mm film during the spring in Estonia, the film poetically explores themes of memory, identity, migration, and queer kinship.
