Marcela and Melanie, a couple living in São Paulo, Brazil, embark on a journey to realize their shared dream of motherhood. While Melanie becomes pregnant with twins through IVF, Marcela attempts to induce lactation in order to create a physical bond with their babies. As they navigate the pregnancy, make decisions about birth plans, and prepare for parenthood, the couple also confronts Brazil’s heteronormative healthcare system and prevailing social norms.
