This short documentary follows the life of a 64-year-old Mexican-American actor living with HIV in San Francisco. Having built a career playing “tough guy” roles, the actor eventually comes out as a woman. However, she now faces the difficult decision of whether to continue playing cisgender male roles both on stage and in her personal life. The film sensitively explores the inner conflicts that arise from embracing one’s gender identity, along with career concerns and the challenges of seeking acceptance from family.
