“Chuppan Chupai” (2013) is a documentary directed by Saad Khan and Saadat Munir. The documentary focuses on the lives of LGBT individuals in Pakistan and tells the stories of four people: Neeli, Kami, Waseem, and Jenny. Neeli played an important role in the constitutional amendment process in Pakistan for the recognition of the third gender. Kami is a courageous trans dancer who lives openly with her boyfriend. Waseem is an artist who performs at wedding celebrations. Jenny is a trans woman undergoing gender transition. The documentary addresses the struggles these individuals face within society and their efforts to openly express their identities.
