International Dawn Chorus Day is an experimental documentary by Canadian director John Greyson, featuring an artistic “Zoom meeting” with participation from 40 artists worldwide. The film is dedicated to the memory of Egyptian activists Shady Habash and Sarah Hegazi. Using the metaphor of birdsong, the film explores themes of freedom, resistance, and solidarity. It also highlights how art and collective voices can be a powerful force against oppression.
